1. Where are you located?

We are located 110 East 13th Street, New York, NY 10003 (click here for map) but we offer repairs via mail from anywhere in the USA.

2. What are your store hours?

M-F 8AM - 6PM
Open Saturdays 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Closed on Saturdays during the months of July and August
We are closed on Sundays

3. How do I submit my camera for repair?

Submitting your camera for repair is easy. Ship your camera to us using USPS, Fedex or UPS. You may also drop your camera at any of our locations. Click here for location details

4. How long will my camera repair take?

PhotoTech.com strives to provide you the fastest service available. Generally, repairs are completed within 1-3 weeks. However, parts delays can considerably delay a repair. Also, during certain times of the summer and during the Christmas holiday, it can take somewhat longer. We cannot give a definitive answer until you submit your camera for repair.

5. How long is the warranty on my camera repair?

PhotoTech.com offers a six month limited warranty (180 days) or 90 days on digital equipment. Please see our policies for details.

6. What does a camera repair include?

A camera repair from PhotoTech is a repair to "good working order." You can feel confident in your investment since we guarantee all 35mm equipment work for 6 months and all others for 3 months. Please see our policies for details.

7. How do I get an estimate?

You can use our preliminary estimate page on this web site or you can submit your camera for camera repair by mail. Simply fill out the forms online and mail it in. We print you a mailing label and store your information on our computers.

8. How do I pay for the repair?

All repairs require credit card information in order to proceed with repairs.

9. Do you perform digital camera repairs?

We have all support and test equipment for all digital cameras. If you have a unique camera that we cannot service we will let you know.

10. What kind of repairs do you perform?

We can repair almost anything from Canon to Zeiss. We can perform repairs on faulty meters - including Nikon Photomic heads. We can repair shutters, transports, remove fungus from lenses, and much more. Please contact us if you have any questions about specific services.

11. Should I repair or replace my equipment?

Repair costs can sometimes approach the used replacement value for your equipment. Servicing your equipment, even at equivalent cost, has a major advantage. Instead of equipment with an unknown history, you will have serviced and warranted equipment.
