Shipping your camera equipment is easy!

Most U.S. post offices have free or low-cost shipping cartons and packing materials. We recommend Priority Mail, with Delivery Confirmation and Insurance, costing approximately $6-7. Keep in mind that your camera equipment is in need of repair, so don’t insure for full replacement value. U.S. Postal Service will also pick up packages free or for an additional fee at scheduled times.

UPS and Federal Express are very reliable and will pick up packages for additional charge. Federal Express is somewhat less convenient unless you have an account.

Guidelines for secure camera equipment packaging and shipping:

*Include inside package:

            Sender phone number, return shipping address, list of any accessories included (straps, filters, lens caps, batteries, etc.).

            Description of equipment repair problem.

            Camera equipment repair estimate approval.

Phototech return shipping:

We ship UPS daily, insured at replacement cost for current models and at market value, or equivalent replacement cost for older equipment. For APO and FPO addresses, destinations in Hawaii and Alaska, and international shipments, we ship Priority Mail or Parcel Post Airmail with the U.S. Postal Service.

Return shipping and handling charges are based on weight and value. For most 35mm cameras, lenses, and other small items, the return shipping charge is $11. Heavier or more expensive cameras or lenses cost slightly more. For most medium format cameras, camcorders, and slide projectors, the charge is $15-20, depending on weight and insurance needed. Items which are unusually valuable or heavy may cost more. These rates are for regular ground shipments within the continental U.S.

Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. Territories, and APO/FPO addresses cost an additional $3-5, depending on and value of the contents. Second day and next day shipping are available at additional cost (usually $25 for second day and $40 for next day).

Charges for international shipments depend upon the method and destination. Please call for more detailed information.

No return shipping charges on warranty repairs.

Allow 3-5 working days for shipping in the U.S.

Overnight and priority shipping available at additional cost.
